Measure the waist where the pant will sit. The pant should cover hips and thighs securely without riding up when bending the knees.

How hockey pants should fit

The pants should sit securely at the waist and neither pinch nor shift in a deep knee bend. Thigh, hip and tailbone protection must cover their intended areas. Belt and lace adjustment fine-tune the fit but do not replace the correct base size.
