CCM NEXT shin guards are built for young children and first-time players looking for dependable entry-level protection that stays easy to move in. Their anatomical shape follows the leg for natural skating, stopping and turning.
A JDP knee cap helps direct impact energy away from the knee area. Lightweight plastic and foam coverage protects the shin and calf, while two straps keep the guard stable. The removable liner makes drying and care easier after practice.
Size guide & how to measure
While seated, bend the knee to roughly 90° and measure from the centre of the knee to the top edge of the skate boot above the first eyelet. Choose by this measurement; skates worn with the tongue outside may require one size up.

Fit note: The knee cap should sit centred on the knee and the guard should meet the skate tongue cleanly.
Fit and wear
The knee cap should sit centred over the kneecap and the guard should finish at the top of the skate boot. CCM generally recommends going one size up when wearing the skate tongue outside the guard (“Tongues In”). The calf strap should hold the guard securely without digging in.
