DLC Max is a PVD, Physical Vapor Deposition, coating treatment that uses different gases to electrify the blade to change the chemical composition of the surface, allowing for a 20 percent increase in surface strength compared to its predecessor.
The hardened steel surface is less prone to crotch debris, allowing the blade to hold a longer cutting edge without added weight.
Our DLC process results in a black, sleek finish and is standard on all custom skates.
